Also called carbon oxide, carbon gas or carbon anhydride. It is a colorless, odorless, flammable and highly toxic gas. It results from the deficient combustion of substances like gas, gasoline, kerosene, carbon, petroleum, tobacco or wood. It is also exhausted from vehicles parked with their motors on. It can also be found in the atmosphere of carbon stars.
